Good suggestion to change the ACR pref to that HD instead of C: drive in addition to un-checking the "export to folders." option. I do have much more room on another internal HD. Since I will be key wording after the import cache is created, if I un-check the "export to folders" option, will my keywords have been added to the cache on my data HD?ĭ.

My process is to upload all images from a card (which will create the cache), sort them, process keepers, delete the others, then keyword the keepers. If I un-check the "export to folders" option (I thought that saved only 1 copy of the cache to whatever data HD+folder my images are stored on), will the computer have to re-build cache every time I open a folder? Is there a way to say "save 100% previews for 30 or 90 days"? I believe this is a feature of LR.Ĭ. I can delete the files in "Users/Karen/AppData/Roaming/Adobe/Bridge CS6/Cache" because the main cache is on my data HD/folders with my images. Edit > Preferences > select Cache and click the Purge Cache button. Cache is a file an app and the system makes when you open and use an app the system uses that data to start the app faster.

What I want: When I upload images to my computer via ACR (or LR), I want full screen previews (on my 30" monitor) so I can select "x" number of images and review them using the slide show. It seems I have some misconceptions about some PS cache settings! LOL! Very helpful link, Richard! My question is about the Adobe cache folder.
